The study features the ‘upgrading of’ an existing residential apartment in terms of its aesthetic, functionality and energy efficiency. Constructed in the 1970’s, this city-center, top floor residence presented severe wear and tear and had to be radically renovated.
The proposal is shaped around several guidelines with the most important being the functionality of the new layout. The new interior space appears to be flexible, and the flow fulfills the everyday needs of the residents providing at the same time a high-quality living environment.
The design manages to highlight successfully the breathtaking views over the city and the sea that the apartment has to offer.
