XENIA 2018 Hotel Megatrends

HOTEL MEGATRENDS is an innovative project by Xenia 2018 and it will be presented during the exhibition, from the 24th to 26th of November 2018 at the Athens Metropolitan Expo exhibition centre.

HOTEL MEGATRENDS is a fully developed facility of 445 square meters, which will be set up in Hall 1 of the most ultramodern exhibition centre in Greece, where the latest trends in technology, interior design, architecture, building, design and sustainability will be presented. These challenges are or should be related with every hotelier, tourist accommodation owner, architect, decorator, designer, civil engineer or technical company. A specialised team of architects, designers, technology and lighting consultants, wellness consultants, manufacturers and sponsor companies will work together to bring this MEGA production to life.

HOTEL MEGATRENDS will be developed on four main axes and aims to create a point of innovation, education and inspiration for visitors of the exhibition.

These four axes are the following:

TECH: New practices and innovations in technology, related to management and operation of hotel businesses. Technology turns into an informal protagonist. Informal because it does not compete with its purposes of existence, which is the service of human needs, and the protagonist because it seamlessly and simply supports the activities within the hotel of the future, turning so the hospitality into a unique experience.
• DESIGN: The dominant tendencies in the interior and exterior decoration as well as implemented design proposals by Greek industrial designers.
• GREEN: Use and presentation of “green” materials, products and practices, as well as natural resource management systems (water / sun / air), technological solutions that lead to conservation of resources.
LOCAL: Connecting to the local community (creating attractive spaces for local people, connecting to the local community through social media and special apps, using products produced by local companies).
